Meet the Team
We are Lizzie and Joanna, your new dog groomers in Willagee and surrounds! We met through
dog grooming and quickly bonded over our shared love of all thing's dogs and the outdoors — whether it's a long walk or a run after work, or an even longer walk through Spain and England
together.
With years of experience and a true passion for what we do, we knew it was time to create our
own little corner of the industry. One Fine Groom was built on the belief that your best friend
deserves the finest — thoughtful care, skilled hands, and plenty of love. Nothing makes us
happier than helping dogs look and feel their very best.
Hi, I'm Joanna!
I've been a professional dog groomer since June 2023 and I truly love what I do. I've had dogs and
cats all my life, so working hands on with animals feels very natural to me. At home, I share life
with two dogs — Lenny the dachshund and Maude the cocker spaniel— as well as my two
teenage boys and my husband.
Before retraining as a dog groomer, I worked as a seafarer's tax advisor in the UK. In Feb 2023, my
family and I made the big move to Perth where I embraced a career change that I'm genuinely
passionate about. Outside of work, I love running, particularly parkrun, and I've completed
marathons, which helped me develop strong patience,
resilience and a calm, steady approach — qualities I bring to work every day!
Hi, I'm Lizzie!
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with animals. I just wasn't sure in what capacity. That all changed when dog grooming unexpectedly fell into my lap, and I haven't looked back since! I've been a professional dog groomer since 2020 after completing my Certificate in Pet Grooming at South Metropolitan TAFE, and it has truly become my passion.
What I love most about grooming is that every dog is completely unique. Each groom brings a new challenge, and I genuinely enjoy figuring out the best approach for every individual dog, all while building trust and creating a calm, positive experience for them.
Nine years ago, I adopted a sweet greyhound named Johnnie. He's now 12 years old and living his best life. He's truly the best buddy a girl could ask for!
When I'm not grooming, you'll most likely find me outdoors somewhere. I compete in triathlons for fun (why choose one sport when you can do three at once?!), and in 2025 I completed the full Camino de Santiago in Spain, walking the Frances route ~800km in exactly five weeks. Safe to say I love a challenge!
